This concert explores the sweet timbre of the male vocal trio, accompanied by period instruments such as the lute, recorders, and bowed fiddle. This intimate concert presents the bewitching songs of the great poet-musicians of medieval France, from the first troubadour Guillaume IX of Aquitaine to Guillaume de Machaut, the last of the trouvères.
