Italy is in the spotlight in this program, comprising pieces from traditional Sicilian repertoire and madrigals by Sicilian Renaissance composers, including Sigismondo d’India and Antonio il Verso. Villanelles, tarantellas, and other gems from the oral tradition complete this concert, which speaks of the island’s rich history and diverse culture.
